Alyssa January 21, 2009

About two days ago, i’ve been thinking of finding what draws my attention when looking at my images. Just in a matter of moments many have told me that fashion and art has been embedded within my work. By taking a few steps back on a third person point of view, i find that my images does display quite a urban look to it. No doubt, photography itself is an art. But it depends on the setting of your images and making the subject(s) blend within the background.
Yesterday, i spent MLK in Costa Mesa along with a couple of friends just doing a photoshoot on Alyssa. I met Alyssa through Angelica, who i have done a photoshoot on about two weeks ago. By getting to know Alyssa over the past two days, i felt an indie and artistic edge in photos will suit her personality. Take this time just to explore and feel free to leave a comment or two.

Ted and Michele January 17, 2009
I thought it will be interesting in how much i improved over the year to look back on the weddings that i have second shot in 2008 for Natalie Williams. It has been about 4 months since i took these images from Michele and Ted’s wedding. This wedding was held at a Japanese Garden at Cal State Long Beach. The weather was awesome and nature was blooming the entire garden. Thanks Michele and Ted for allowing me to be involve on your day!

Mizterio January 13, 2009
About a few months ago a friend asked me to do a photoshoot of his band called Mizterio. If you guys want to hear rockin latin music; Mizterio is a band you should listen to. The percussion of the instruments playing to my ears just makes me want to dance. Wear those dancing shoes girls and guys; it’s time to put it to use and start moving those hips.
The crew and i started our day in Los Angeles driving to random places the catches our eyes for a punk/rock type of feel for the images. I landed in this special place that brings back a lot of memories where i use to go shopping with my pals. hahahaha Not the materialistic person anymore…. But overall it was a fun day in LA and just exploring places that i would never thought of shooting at. I hope you guys enjoy the pictures of Mizterio. It has been a pleasure working with them.

Here is Eli. The friend that asked me to do this shoot for him. In favor, his picture is blown up!!!

Angelica January 11, 2009
Do you follow your dreams? Is life something that you believe is beautiful? I ask these questions to myself as i live through life. Photography have brought a new perspective of capturing life with light. It gives me the chance to alter reality by putting my own personality within the pictures i take. And I do appreciate my life presently. I am grateful to meet such wonderful people who helped me through the years in pursuing my goals.
Yesterday was quite a day just having fun taking photos of Angelica. I recently met her through my new roommate since they are cousins. I have to say; she have a unique sense of humor that draws attention in each photo i took of her. Thanks for being patient Angelica! I hoped you enjoyed it!

Bryan’s Night Out January 9, 2009
In life, you never know where you will end up at in the next 10 yrs. You kept on wondering if you will ever change as a person or just remain the same. As for Bryan, things that relates to his personality and how he views the world never changes. Maturity may influence him over the years ever since i knew him. However, how he acts toward his surroundings has always been a comedy.
Tonight, i felt like exploring LA by just getting lost within the city. Bryan and I drove round and round till we found nice architectural buildings that stood out to our eyes. Adventurous is what i base my daily life on. And tonight was definitely a journey for both of us.
To start off the story, Bryan was startled by the security guard who kicked us off private property taking snaps of the building. We took a hike to his car and vanish into thin air.

As we hide from the security guard just waiting to get a couple of more shots.

Bryan always manage to get something out of his day?

Doesn’t work, money just doesn’t fall out from the sky

Bummed out as he looks huh?

Life is hard searching for money in the water. Doesn’t come that easy

His job is not cutting out for him, it’s time to leave. No ride? No Car? No Life?

Daniel and Gabrielle December 28, 2008
The eyes that are created for us to see each other and our surroundings can say many words. We use it to show affection toward one another as the pupil enlarges. The eye is a powerful part of us, which we should protect at all times in order to capture the memories we see. As you are viewing, or about to lure yourself into my images, please take the time to build a story upon them. I have created this post in a way that you can relive my moments that i captured during Daniel and Gabrielle’s special day. Once again, i want to thank Daniel and Gabrielle for their patients. As well, i want to give a special thanks to Doug who helped me on this day. Thank you All!

This was taken at Orange Hills Restaurant where Daniel and Gabrielle shared their moments.

Daniel & Gabrielle Lopez December 27, 2008
The day was perfect for these two couples to speak upon their love for each other. Showing their affections and intimacy during the ceremony toward one another made Daniel and Gabrielle’s day filled with love. I am grateful in being their photographer on this special day. It effects me in a way how “love” should be express between couples. The heart tells that these two couples have a strong chemistry within the moments i captured their memories of joy. Take this time to sink yourself in this image. Before i end it with a short notice, i want to thank my friend and a excellent photographer, Doug, for being able to assist me on this day. If you have never heard of Doug, you could learn more about his work in wedding photography at WWW.TOFURIOUS.COM.
Thank you for visiting and please come back for more images on this day. Here is one to start you off.

Kissmas Party December 26, 2008
To the season to be jolly, FAH LA LA LA LA LA LA … I don’t know the rest of the lyrics. Kissmas was an awesome event. I got to meet great people, and expanded my connections within the profession of photography. Lucky me, i won Dane Sanders book, an amazing photographer who wrote “Fast Track Photographer”. Here are some pictures to relive my moments, don’t mind me.

Family Christmas Gathering December 25, 2008
Love, laughter, and joyful moments that are shared between my cousins. Despite the distance in age, we all managed to stay close in contact and never let go of the memories we had together since the childhood years. 21 years of my life spending each Christmas with my family is always something i look forward to. I am grateful to have a family that cares for one another. I know in some families there’s a lack of that “love” from one another, or hatred between family members. We have to push away all the grudges and anger that have been held for so long and just let it go. As you are reading this, come together with your family and celebrate this Christmas Eve and cherish those memories. Happy Christmas Everyone from KLVPhotography!

Love all you guys! -Kevin
